Place each clue in the cell where its row word and column word both fit.
Look at the words at the top of each column and the start of each row.
Each clue connects individually to both its column word and its row word — not necessarily to the two words combined.
Move each clue into the cell where you think it fits. You can:
Drag a tile with mouse or finger.
Tap a tile to pick it up, then tap a cell to drop it.
Keyboard:Tab to focus a tile, Enter or Space to pick up, then Tab or arrow keys to a cell and Enter to drop. Escape cancels.
Click "Check Answers" to see how you did. You have three attempts per puzzle.
If you get stuck, use 💡 Hint to reveal one cell (costs a heart), ↶ Undo to take back your last move, or "Reset" to try again with the same words.
Regular mode
Green: the clue is in the correct cell.
Yellow: the clue is in the correct row or column.
Red: the clue is in neither the correct row nor column.
Hard mode
Green: all answers in the row or column are correct.
Yellow: some answers in the row or column are correct.
Red: no answers in the row or column are correct.
Example. If the column word is "Apple" and the row word is "Tree", a fitting clue might be "Fruit". Place "Fruit" in the cell where the "Apple" column and "Tree" row intersect.
